Leigh Ann Hinton, soprano, is a native of New York and a United States Army Veteran who has had an exciting career traveling throughout the country and around the world entertaining audiences in concert halls and adding
beauty and dignity to national events as featured soloist with the premier band of the United States Army, The United States Army Band, "Pershing's Own".
A highlight of Leigh Ann's Army career was her involvement as a musical ambassador and the sole American vocalist in the historic musical exchange, "Friendship and Cooperation Through Music," between the premier bands of the United States Army and The People's Liberation Army of China. During the concert tours, highlighting international diplomacy and outreach, which took place in the United States in 2011 and in China in 2012, Leigh Ann performed to sold out audiences in major concert halls in Washington DC, Philadelphia, New York, Beijing, Nanjing, and Shanghai, as well as an exciting historic event, a performance on the floor of the United Nations General Assembly.
Leigh Ann is classically trained, with degrees in Voice Performance from Ithaca College in Ithaca New York, and also has vast experience in musical theater and vocal jazz genres.
Recently retired from The United States Army Band, Leigh Ann continues to make music a priority as Minister of Music, conducting and teaching children and adults, as well as leading a hand bell choir, singing the National Anthem at community events and professional sporting events, and remaining active as a concert soloist.
Leigh Ann enjoys spending time camping, baking, and spending time with her family.
